Queen Mary Students leave the East End to march!

QMSU students state their views against Clegg’s traiterous actions. They also say that they are “pessimistic” about what things we can truly achieve.

Niah, a first year Biomedical student at QM is marching with her younger brother and her future study in mind. She feels the march can “work to bring students together.”

Alex Houghton says the march “won’t change anything and compared to experiences of the Iraq war and which had 1 milion protestors with seemingly little effect”

QMSU President Vraj Domalip gives his thoughts in preparation for the march. He says “we do not believe in the cuts. We will not let the government destroy the higher education sector. The cuts are riduculous. Our stance is free education.”
