The scale of the demo is now becoming apparent as we wait amongst the crowd to move off towards pimlico. From a good vantage point you can see that the protest stretches all the way down Whitehall to Trafalgar Square and again round Horse Guards Avenue. It seems the more elaborate protesters are concentrated outside Whitehall, with The Central School of Speech and Drama toting a huge, paper mache vulture with huge banners displaying slogans like “say no to arts rape”. We have also been joined by a brass band playing such inspiring march tunes as the saints go marching in – and this time, its to parliament.
