LSE students hold ‘rally to restore sanity’

LSE students gathered for a ‘rally to restore sanity’ today, in a counter protest to the NUS-UCU DEMO held yesterday.

A facebook group for the event states: “It is time for students at LSE to reclaim the streets. For too long extremist factions have misrepresented the views of LSE students, wasting our time and money on unachievable campaigns. Do you wish the SU spent more time campaigning against the RMT and tube strikes than freezing the unfreezable? I would like to invite all concerned students to a rally to restore sanity on Houghton Street: 12 noon on Thursday the 11th November.

A list of demands included, “a dialog with all stakeholders involved in a calm and orderly manner!”

They say they want these demands to be fulfilled, “in a timeframe acceptable to all parties involved!”
