Solomon said: “Students have shown great courage and a sense of initiative. They have found clever ways of avoiding being kettled by the thousends of police officers present here today. It has been a peaceful protest, no violent acts have been committed. Last week’s kettling has taught the students how to deal with the large presence of police officers.
“It was a moment of mass political education. The ingenuity that students showed today is going to make it harder for the police in the future.”
