Fighting for Women’s Rights

There are countless organisations being represented here, including the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.

A spokesperson for the organisation, Sheila Triggs, said “We are here to support equity and peace against militarism and cuts. We should cut trident and reclaim tax that is being lost if we want to save money. These cuts particular affect women”.

As she finishes talking to me, a chant of “Women united, will never be defeated!” begins to ring around.
