Students are congregating inside the students union building at Queen Mary University ready to join the TUC in their March for the Alternative today. Officers have been promoting the march all week in their hope to top the 200 students who marched in November during the NUS ‘Demolition.’ Sam Creighton, VP Communications Officer has expressed his unwavering support for the march. He added, as Len MCclusky head of Unite union expressed on BBC Radio 4 this morning, that he hopes that the march will remain a “family event.”
