The scene at Temple and along The Embankment is absolutely astounding. I am currently looking at what seems hundreds of thousands of people assembled and ready to March. The crowd stretches back on all sides of the strand, to Waterloo bridge and beyond. The West End is at a virtual standstill. Words can almost not describe the scene. From the snatches of conversation I am hearing it seems we have people from every corner of the country. Chanting, singing and drumming abounds – courtesy, as always, of SOAS. This is going to be a memorable day.
